Antique Dollond Library Telescope on Stand. A lovely, antique telescope attributed to Dollond, the renowned British optical makers. This example features a long single-draw wooden tube with brass fittings, mounted on a cast metal adjustable stand with a three-footed pad foot base, making it an impressive decorative and collector’s piece.
Two additional brass eyepieces are included, as shown.
Aged patina consistent with age and use; wear, surface marks, and oxidation present. Optical functionality has not been tested although lenses appear to be intact.
The telescope extends to 141cm in length. The stand is approximately 50cm in height.
