A late nineteenth century Double “Sweetheart” Tabletop Stereoscope. Designed for multi-viewing of stereocards which are rotated using a hand-operated chain mechanism. Unknown maker however the hinges on the device are inscribed with a maker name which dates the viewer to mid-to-late nineteenth century. Some historic wear to the walnut and a more recent noticeable scratch on one side (please see photos) but otherwise operates as it should.
