A fully-built Alyn Foundry (Wrexham) R.L.E. Model Gas Engine, built from kit form. Engine No. 268. The R.L.E. is a 1 1/4 inch Bore, 2 inch stroke Hit & Miss Governed Water Hopped Cooled O/C Engine. Designed for petrol or gas firing. Fitted with twin flywheels with a machined weight of 23lbs. This particular model has clearly seen some use but has been kept in storage, unused for quite some time; as such it would benefit from a service and clean-up before use. Mounted on a wooden base and makes for a great display model. Engine turns over freely with good compression.
