An original Bassett-Lowke Gauge "O" 4-6-2 "Flying Scotsman" Locomotive, No. 4472 in LNER colours. Complete with tender. This is an electric-powered locomotive which was produced by Bassett-Lowke during the mid-20th century. Fitted with detailed cab and robust construction, this particular model is showing clear signs of age-related wear including some paint loss and occasional surface rust. The model does require a service because although the motion-works do turn, they are a little stiff and when bench tested did not operate as intended. The coupling hook at the rear of the cab does appear to be missing too. The tender has similar wear and requires some correction work to the retracting door. Any questions feel free to ask.
