A lovely, aged Bassett-Lowke 3/4 inch scale model traction engine. Comprising a single cylinder and based on a Burrell-type steam engine. Complete with spirit burner, the model is a good example of the sought after Bassett Lowke traction engine. With some age related effects, including wear to the paintwork and some clear use-wear, the model would benefit from a sympathetic, cosmetic restoration. The model is not currently fitted with a water sight glass. Following a bench test on air, the model does require some tinkering to get it running however the boiler holds pressure with no significant damage to motion-work (as such, the work required is likely related to timing and servicing the moving parts).
