A very rare, early tinplate working water mill, believed to have been produced by the German manufacturer, Bing. Similar components are noticeable on other models produced by Bing, however with no obvious makers' mark, it is difficult to attribute this model to the company with 100% certainty. Nonetheless, this is a fantastic example of the early tinplate toy making process featuring a water mill and bucket system and appears to be almost completely original albeit for some recent repair work to the base where the tin-plate has weakened. The model has some age-related patina including wear to the paintwork and some metalwork visible. The mill is also missing one fan which has broken off at some stage. Overall, a great display item and sought after collectors' model which rarely come up for sale. Any questions feel free to ask.
