A substantial scratch-built model of the French SNCF CC7000 locomotive. From my measurements, I believe it to be built to approximately 2½ inch gauge, although this is not guaranteed and prospective buyers should satisfy themselves as to the gauge before purchasing.
This is a heavy, predominantly metal model with a great deal of hand-fabricated detail. It carries CC7000 and SNCFplates and features two hand-made pantographs, although the model does not appear to have been completed to a particularly high cosmetic standard and would benefit from restoration and finishing.
The chassis is substantial, with sprung axleboxes and what appears to be a belt-driven transmission. While the locomotive may have been intended for powered operation, I have not tested it and cannot confirm how it was originally designed to be driven or whether it is complete.
The locomotive requires cosmetic restoration. The paintwork shows age-related wear, scratches, chips and marks, with surface rust present on sections of the chassis and transmission. Construction is somewhat crude in places, with several areas that could be refined or improved by a new owner.
