Offered for sale is an impressive O gauge (~32mm wheel to wheel) live steam model of the Southern Railway Bulleid Battle of Britain Class locomotive 21C105 Barnstaple, finished in Southern malachite green livery with matching tender.
The locomotive is fitted with a gas-fired live steam boiler, radio control equipment housed within the tender, and an enclosed gear-driven chassis. The boiler is stamped SWP 50 PSI (Safe Working Pressure 50 psi), indicating a professionally manufactured copper boiler.
From my research, I believe the body to be based on an ACE Trains O gauge Battle of Britain Class locomotive that has been professionally converted to live steam, although I cannot guarantee this and buyers should satisfy themselves as to its exact origin.
The locomotive is offered as found from a private collection. I have not steam tested or run the locomotive and it is therefore being sold as untested. The model appears complete overall and the engineering is of a high standard, but it may require commissioning, servicing or adjustment before use.
Please note that there are a few small loose parts which will require reattaching, together with the general attention expected for a model of this type and age. The bodywork shows light cosmetic wear consistent with previous use.
